The Miscellaneous History of Common Experiments
A Zine - an encyclopedia of sorts
$4/30 pages/Half size
by Celia
Celia describes this zine project as, "It really is only an encyclopedia in that it is a collection of alphabetized articles about a subject--me. In this encyclopedia you will get a glimpse of my interests and my life."
Oh the excitement when I turned the pages of this zine. I'm a sucker for texture + found objects so it was a complete joy to find a mini daybook attached to one of the pages, a concealed stamp, an envelope loaded with tiny bits of goodies and other items that symbolize a subject that Celia writes about. It's truly a beautiful, text heavy zine with subjects regarding Chicago, Insecurity, Junk, Lists, Recipes, Stencil Street Art and more!!

Marked For Life #4
$2/24 pages/Half size
by Sage
I decided to document the day my life changed. When my marriage ended, the boundaries of my mental health were tested, when my children's lives were turned upside down and when I stopped believing. It was an ugly time for me, a time where I looked in the mirror and had no idea who was looking back. This zine is my story. I was knocked down by the one person who I trusted my own life with. I eventually stood up and fought with everything I had. I am still fighting. It's about my struggles and victories, from Philadelphia to a small town in Georgia. This issue is about starting my life over at age 29, literally from scratch.

Lion In A Teacup
$2/22 pages/Half size
by Tabby
It's been awhile since a zine like this arrived in my po box for distro consideration. Tabby writes about her career as a teacher and working with the teens at her school. She discusses the encouragement that she provides for these students and also the anger that some of these teens have burning inside of them. Included are pieces regarding educational objectives, expectations, and the reality of what is going on in the school system.
An excerpt, "My interaction with this child shows me that these people most likely start off as seemingly normal children in school. When a child is raised with violence, violence is the norm and is all that the child knows how to pass along. I worry about people like this student. I see so many like him. I want to work with these kids because I don't believe it is too late. I don't believe they are lost."
